President's Message- June 2023
What a wonderful way to spend a morning – last month’s ELEVATE! event was beyond my expectations! In its inaugural year we were fortunate to have a beautiful venue, delicious food, and a fantastic turnout. Both the panel discussion and keynote speaker delivered practical career advice and useful ways to promote your personal brand – I know I was taking notes! Thanks again to our sponsors and to everyone who helped make this a success. I hope everyone left feeling as inspired as I did. Check out the photos!
Several of our board members will be attending the CREW Network Spring Leadership Summit in Oklahoma City June 21st – 23rd. OKC is a quick flight away and registration is still open if you can attend. These events I find are so worthwhile, connecting with other Chapter Leaders from across the country, providing leadership training and business networking to grow your business and advance your career. Another opportunity would be to attend CREW Network Convention, which will be held in September in Atlanta, Georgia. CREW Austin is providing ten (10) $1000 scholarships to members of our Chapter that wish to attend, to help cover the costs. Details including the requirements, application and deadline can be found on our website.
Also, if you are interested in a leadership role in CREW Austin, please join us after the June Luncheon for The Path to Leadership meeting. This informative session will cover board structure, roles and responsibilities and characteristics of effective leaders. I hope you will join us to learn more about how you can advance your CREW Career.
