September Luncheon: City of Austin’s Climate Equity Plan

Join us for an engaging luncheon as we explore the City of Austin’s Climate Equity Plan—an ambitious roadmap to reach net-zero community-wide greenhouse gas emissions by 2040 while prioritizing equity and resilience. Hear from City of Austin leaders about how the plan addresses buildings, transportation, energy, and community health, and what it means for Austin’s real estate and development community. Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with peers and learn how you can be part of building a more sustainable and inclusive future for our city.
Rohan Lilauwala is a Climate Project Manager at the City of Austin Office of Climate Action and Resilience. He has over ten years of experience working on urban climate action in both governments and non-profits in the US and Canada. Rohan is currently working on implementing the Austin Climate Equity Plan, as well as leading regional climate action planning for the Austin Metropolitan Statistical Area as part of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)'s Climate Pollution Reduction Grant (CPRG) Program. He was instrumental in the City recently securing a $47.85 million dollar grant to implement GHG emission-reducing transportation programs through the same program.
