President's Message - December 2023

What an amazing year it’s been! I’m so proud of the many accomplishments over the past year. Here are a few highlights:

In January, the CREW Austin board spent a two-day session with Jenny Weisenbach, CREW Network Director, Chapter Services, to revise the Chapters strategic plan. this provides our leadership a roadmap for the next 3 to 5 years. We check in quarterly with Network to make sure we are tracking and to hold ourselves accountable to implementing the tasks towards the overall goals. The strategic plan can be found on our website. In May, we held the inaugural ELEVATE! event which is a professional development event featuring a dynamic speaker similar to what you would find at a CREW Network convention or summit. Our panel of local experts was a crowd favorite and Amy Jo Martin wowed the audience with her keynote speech.

We also changed the format of our traditional golf tournament to a Top Golf event. A great time was had by all, and the comments were overwhelmingly in favor of this style event where networking is the focus.

We continue to prepare for the next generation with successful UCREW and CREW Careers events and support local philanthropic organizations such as Red Oak Hope and our own CREW Foundation.

I am so honored to have served as the 2023 President and celebrate the many successes our Chapter has achieved over the year!
